The moon snail is about 4" wide and lives in shallow water on sandy bottoms. Their foot is three times longer than their shells- this allows them to move easily through the sand. These greedy predators eat mostly bivalves but will even eat other moon snails! They have a very unique egg case that is collar-shaped. |
