Can we climb up into the lighthouse?

The lighthouse itself is privately owned and occupied by a family who cares for it. There is no public access to the lighthouse. However, the restored Assistant Keeper's House is a museum depicting the history of the lighthouse and is open to the public. The lighthouse continues to operate as a beacon to the sailors navigating Narragansett Bay.
