Here's a quick list of Rocky Intertidal Zones. We'll visit these zones in our field trip to learn how these plants and animals have adapted to this environment:

• Zone 1: Black Zone (or Splash Zone)
• Zone 2: Periwinkle Zone (or Splash Zone)
• Zone 3: Barnacle Zone (or Upper Zone)
• Zone 4: Rockweed Zone (or Middle Zone)
• Zone 5: Irish Moss Zone (or Lower Zone)
• Zone 6: Kelp Zone (or Subtidal Zone)
