Do you know where the Beavertail~ rocky shore is located?
The rocky shore habitat
that we visited on our field trip is located at Beavertail Point in central Rhode Island (enclosed by the red box). Beavertail Point is located on the southern tip of Conanicut Island at 41o27' N , 71o23' W. Beavertail Point encompasses 153 acres and faces the entrance to Narragansett Bay. Conanicut Island is connected to the mainland on its western side by the Jamestown-Verrazano Bridge. The eastern side of Conanicut Island is connected to Aquidneck Island by the Newport-Pell Bridge.
