Softshelled Clam (Mya arenaria) These edible bivalves have thin, oval shaped shells that grow to 4 inches (10.2 cm) long. Spurts of water from the two siphons are all you'll see once the clam is burrowed into the sand. The moon snail is their primary predator. |
