Land Use

This map looks complicated, but it's not. Each of the colors designate a way the pond or the surrounding land is used. All the dark green, for instance, is forested land. All the dark yellow is land that has been developed, such as a residential area. You can see that shellfish (dark pink) are an important part of the salt pond ecosystem.
