The mold that we are using consists of two small wooden frames. One has weather-stripping along the bottom edge, and the other has wire mesh over the top. The wire mesh will support the pulp as you pour it into the mold. Lay a fine screen (window screen) over the top of the frame with the wire mesh, and place the other frame on top of this with the weather-stripping face down. Hold the whole assembly against the bottom of a pan that contains enough water so that the window screen is just slightly submerged. With one hand, continue to hold the assembly firmly against the bottom of the pan. With the other hand, pour the pulp into the mold (Figure 5). Carefully spread the pulp in the mold by gently swirling the assembly or by using your fingers (Figure 6).
