  • Cherry, Lynn, A River Ran Wild: An Environmental History. An environmental history of the Nashua River, from its discovery by Indians through the polluting years of the Industrial Revolution to the ambitious cleanup that revitalizes it.
  • Cole, Joanna, Magic School Bus at the Waterworks. Ms. Frizzle takes her class on a field trip to the waterworks where everyone learns about the water purification system.
  • Dorros, Arthur, Follow the Water from Brook to Ocean. Explains how water flows from brooks, to streams, to rivers, over waterfalls, through canyons and dams, to eventually reach the ocean.
  • Ehlert, Lois, Fish Eyes a Book You Can Count On. A counting book depicting the colorful fish a child might see if he turned into a fish.
  • Fleming, Denise, In a Small, Small Pond. A rhyming text describes the seasonal changes in a frog's little pond.
