Hmmmn, erosion is a good guess, but has anyone found any creatures in those holes? Hey, take a look at this.
This large, green crab has wedged his way into a fiddler hole. Isn't it hard to see him? He uses camouflage well against the background of the sand and mud doesn't he? Do you think we can coax him to come out of his hiding place? Not a chance, huh?
