Our path through the unhealthy salt marsh takes us further back and we are surrounded by Phragmites on both sides, but it doesn't seem all that tall on the side nearest the water. Brian stops us to have a look at a small plant called a glasswort. He tells us that it is a sure sign that the salt water tide is reaching this area during the high tide.
