Along the way, we meet a small team of researchers from the University of Rhode Island. This trip gets full of adventure with every turn we take. They tell us that they are setting minnow traps in the area in order to measure and weigh the small fish they catch on this side of the marsh.
"What are you doing with that bag of bagels, though? Is that your lunch?"

They explain to us that they use the bagels as bait for the fish and that the small fish seem to prefer wheat bagels! The things you learn in the great outdoors! I wonder if they would like raisin bagels, too.
